December Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order by President John Gregg at 7:00 pm

Secretaries Report

Motion made by Chuck Millian, seconded by Mary Bouchard and approved by all to accept the November minutes as written.

Warrior Wear

December 4, 2009 is Wells Warrior day at the Wells Clothing Outlet.  10% of all proceeds will go to WHS Boosters

A new logo has been designed and is on gray and white products.

Presently Boosters are making $4.00 per item and we are shooting to get $6.00 per item with new items in 2010

Fall Sports Awards

Everything went fine

Rick asked why members of the cheering squad were not recognized as scholar athletes. Jack states that cheering season is recognized as a winter sport and they will be recognized there. But he did say that the school will be recognizing scholar cheerleaders twice a year

Winter Sports

First basketball game is scheduled for December 5 with the boys away and the girls at home, both against Cape E.

The Sullivan wrestling tournament at York toll will be held on December 5. Atlantics wrestling tournament will be held December 19 beginning at 6am through 9pm.

Scholarship Committee

The scholarship committee met just prior to the December meeting.

New revisions of the necessary qualifications for selection to be eligible for the Boosters Scholarship will be brought to the Boosters for approval at the January meeting.

Jack’s Corner

Jack presented the treasurer with several bills.

He mentioned that the soccer snack shack has a Keurig coffee maker in it and believes it belongs to Mrs. Lamb. It should be stored somewhere other than in there as it will freeze. Someone was going to contact Mrs. Lamb about this.

Old Business

Cindy Roche spoke to Officer Savoy and he advised that the tower did not need to be handicap accessible.

Chuck Millian will make contact with the Code Enforcement Officer to get a final decision and report back at the January meeting.
